The exhibition "Our Baikal" of the photographer of the magazine "National Geographic
Russia", who is a famous photographer from Buryatia Sergei Shitikov is held in Ulan-Ude. In total the exposition contains more than 30 large-formatted works.
The exhibition is mobile and the works have already been exhibited in the halls of Moscow for many times. In spring of this year, the artist's work could be seen in the house of the government of Buryatia, in summer - in the building of the Narodnii Hural, and now the photoworks are represented for wide audience.
The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Republic of Buryatia together with the magazine "National Geographic Russia", which pays great attention to the materials about Russia and traditionally holds exhibitions of international best masters of photography which help to acquaint a wide audience with the beauties of our country.
This form of showing the exhibition at the trade center is new for our town. It is a usual practice in other cities, such as Moscow, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic has marked.
A reference: Sergey Shitikov is a Member of the Union of Photoartists of Russia and the International Federation of Journalists, a participant of more than 50 photo exhibitions and photocompetitions in Russia, countries of the CIS and Europe, Asia and Australia. A special place in his life and creativity is occupied by a theme of Baikal and the nature of Buryatia. He has been collaborating with the magazine "National Geographic Russia since 2007.
